Serial number 170966 on bottom of receiver, 26 in. octagonal barrel marked MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A. 38-55 with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight, walnut straight stock and forend with original crescent buttplate.

Overall very good estate condition, barrel and receiver have surface scratches, oxidation and finish wear, multiple dings on top of barrel right and left side near receiver, stock and forend have field marks from age and use, buttstock at upper tang has a small amount of missing wood.
