The Winchester Model 1873 rifle was introduced in 1873 and became one of the most iconic firearms of the American West. Designed by Benjamin Tyler Henry and later improved by John Browning, it was known for its reliability and versatility, chambering popular cartridges like .44-40 and .38-40. Nicknamed "The Gun That Won the West," it gained fame among cowboys, lawmen, and outlaws alike.
Overall good estate condition, barrel and receiver have moderate amounts of surface scratches, oxidation and finish wear, stock and forend field marks from age and use, forend is missing small amount of wood on the left and right top front, heavy wear to wood at upper tang, small tight crack beginning from upper tang to comb.
