The first, stamped "J. WEAVER", circa 1865, a semi-ovoid jar with tooling to the body and shoulder, flattened rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with horizontally brushed petals, cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals, impressed "4" (14 12 in.) (rim chip and area of shallow scrapes); the second, a jug stamped "R.W. RUSSELL BEAVER. PA" circa 1860, of ovoid form with strap handle and cobalt floral cluster, impressed "3" (15 in.) (hairline from one handle terminus to the lower).
