The Colt Model 1849 Percussion Pistol was introduced in 1850 as a small, .31-caliber, five- or six-shot revolver intended for easy carry and personal defense. Based on Colt’s earlier "Baby Dragoon" design, the Model 1849 became immensely popular with civilians, lawmen, and travelers on the American frontier due to its compact size, reliability, and affordability.

Overall fair estate condition, barrel wedge will not stay in place, cocking and firing mechanism does not work consistently, barrel and cylinder have oxidation.
