From the hunting rig of the Currituck Shooting Club. The Currituck Shooting Club was founded in 1857 and is America's oldest gunning club.
Crowell is known as one of the greatest decoy makers and bird carvers of all time. His son, Cleon Crowell (1891-1961) later joined his father and together they produced extremely well made decoys commercially.
