Sanford, Virginia, circa 2000, carved and painted wood, sleeping heads with glass eyes, raised wing tips, incised C on bottom of each.

Longest length 10.25 in.

Chesser is one of the most respected decoy makers of his generation. He carved with Cigar Daisey and the Wards. This pair is significant as each bird is carved from a single piece of wood, the lead ballast weights are cast from the bottom of a muffin pan.
