Attributed to Richmond, circa 1820, mahogany, mahogany veneer primary, white pine, poplar and deal secondary, multi-part form, projecting cornice with crotch mahogany vertically veneered frieze, four hinged doors with astragal moldings, reeded stiles, divided and shelved interior, flanked by 3/4 reeded columns, book-matched rear panel with block stiles, front baluster turned supports, the sideboard with vertically veneered edge and apron over three flush side-by-side drawers over four hinged paneled cabinet doors, divided and shelved interior, flanked by fully turned reeded columns with cast brass Egyptian bust capitals, front tapered reeded legs terminating in cast brass feet, paneled sides, rear straight legs from the solid.

Rear boards with 20th century pencil inscription and paper detailing the family provenance beginning with William Beverly Randolph & Sarah Winston Rutherford of Richmond, then going to Martha Rutherford Linsley of Hanover Co., Va. (which relates to the copy of the estate letter showing Martha receiving a tall side board), thence to her son James G. Tinsley, then his daughter Mrs. B. P. Alsop, then Camilla Alsop Hyde...lower board reading "Purchased Dec. 17, 1987 by B & T Warthen from Aunt Mrs Hyde All of Richmond Virginia".

Scattered veneer chips and patches to case edges; two cracked panes (all old wavy glass); later locks and some stile patches at lock area; later hinges; sideboard top with central spline and later underside medial boards; later drawer guides; rear right leg with crack (but appears stable); some later rear brace boards.
