The Carl Gustafs Stads Gevarsfaktori 6.5x55 Model 1916 bolt-action sporting rifle was developed in Sweden and is based on the military Model 96 rifle, which was originally designed for military use. Introduced in the early 20th century, the Model 1916 was adapted for civilian use, primarily aimed at hunters and sport shooters.
Chambered in the popular 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser cartridge, known for its accuracy and flat trajectory, the Model 1916 quickly gained a reputation for its reliability and performance in the field. The rifle featured a robust bolt-action mechanism, adjustable sights, and high-quality craftsmanship, typical of Swedish firearms.
Overall good estate condition, barrel and receiver have surface scratches, oxidation, and finish wear, stock has field marks from age and use.
