A Magdeburg, Germany, creamware tankard 1787, painted with a bird flanked by a blossom, pewter mounted, the cover sports a large ball, the interior of the cover is has two touch marks (11 in.) (hairline and chips to the handle); the second tankard,18th century, is blue-green, pewter mounted, the cover engraved "No.8 M.B.Pm", probably Nuremberg (8 1/2 in.) (slight wear and scrape to the handle).
