Attributed to Virginia, circa 1700, two part form, yellow pine, poplar and white pine secondary, the top dovetailed case with an applied top molding, two over four graduated drawers each with book-matched highly figured veneer and herringbone banded border at edge, case horizontal and vertical stiles reeded, applied molding at base of top case, the base with three side-by-side drawers also with book-matched highly figured veneers and herringbone border inlay, developed shaped skirt, raised on six inverted trumped turned legs, shaped stretcher base, raised onion foot

The top case left and right side of the case lacking veneer; brasses are old and in original holes; the upper and lower case veneers with all over alligatored surface; the six turned legs with old, appear 19th century and later; the top molded frame that rests on the base covers recessed screw holes that do not come through the frame or top, likely suggesting an early marriage.
