Attributed to Fredericksburg, late 18th century, two part form, yellow pine, poplar and oak secondary, the upper dovetailed case with a cove molded cornice above a stylized Chinese Chippendale frieze, two hinged cabinet doors with raised panel and applied molded edge, unique interior having a central louvered shelf flanked by three vertical document drawers to each side above six pigeon holes above three side by side small drawers, the desk featuring a hinged lipped slant lid with bread board ends, loper support, interior central prospect door in the solid of highly figured crotch grain, interior with single drawer, eight valanced pigeon holes, seven small drawers, the case with an upper long drawer above two side by side drawers above two long drawers, all graduated and with molded edge and three quarter dust boards, distinctive raised ogee bracket dovetailed feet.

Right side of cornice later; shrinkage crack to right door panel; cut/patch/repair at hinge areas of doors; repairs and likely later fretwork at frieze; cut/patch/repair at lid above escutcheon; cut/patch/repair at hinge areas and base of lid; later pulls; drawer secondaries with some splines and rebuilt drawer runners; ogee feet appear original however the left front foot facing is cut and tipped, right rear side facing cut and tipped.
