Yellow vellum with slight yapp edges and silver decoration and lettering, with deckled fore-edge and top edge silver, in black paper-covered slipcase with black paper label with silver decorations and lettering. 8vo; x, 260, xi-xiv, [2]pp. (Spine slightly faded with minor marks; some bubbling to rear paste-down, light spotting to endpapers, occasional minor grime, with many leaves still partially unopened; slipcase with light scuffing, areas of toning, label with light edge wear, one tear to paper, and areas of edge splitting.)

(Toning to edges and spine, minimal spotting to lower board, light wear to (2) corners and spine ends; slight separation from text block; lightly toned interior with minor foxing (mostly at rear endpapers, 1-in. tear to plate with photo of Van Vechten and one additional leaf, a few folded corners and rare finger grime; jacket with toning, mild spotting, light grime, and edge chips, tears, and small losses; belly band in similar condition and split in two.)

(Boards with light foxing at edges and joints, mild bumping to spine ends; clean and well-illustrated interior; unclipped jacket with toning, scuffing, small stains, and light edge wear. A beautiful and very good plus copy.)
