Watercolor on ivory, unsigned, the first of a blue-eyed female with apprehensive expression, attired in blue dress with sheer shawl, hair worn high with black feather and pearl decoration, presented in a period gilt brooch (1 7/8 x 1 3/8 in.); the second possibly a minister or stately official in dark coat with white cravat, presented in a period bracelet case (2 x 1 1/4 in.).
