English, circa 1800, barrel shape molded with inscribed 'staves' and relief molded polychrome grape vines, constructed in two parts, the spirit keg and the stand, impressed stamp "WILSON' on the stand rim and the underside impressed with a crowned C mark, mounted with a Georgian silver spigot, with hallmarks of London (1806), unidentified silver maker's mark; retaining plug.

Small chip to stand rim; gilt loses; slight wear to the polychrome decorations and marks to the area around the plug; good condition for age and use.
