A Large Megalodon Tooth on a Natural Base

Light gray enamel with darker edges over dark grey root; set against a wooden dowel on a fossilized base with shell concretions. Found off the coast of North Carolina in October 2024.

5 1/4 x 4 1/4 in. without stand; 6 1/2 x 6 1/4 in. on stand

Expected light edge chipping with larger enamel losses on the front typical of teeth of this large size.
