A Magnificently Tall Megalodon Tooth on a Fossilized Base

Light gray enamel with orange over contrasting dark gray root; resting against a wooden dowel on a custom fossilized whalebone stand. Found off the coast of North Carolina in October 2024.

5 1/2 x 3 5/8 in. without stand; 5 1/8 x 9 in. on stand.

A few typical edge chips with small enamel losses at the tip; a tooth with an elegant form, beautiful color, and much smaller enamel losses than is typical for a tooth of this size.
