A Colorful North Carolina Megalodon Tooth With Serrations

Gray, tan, and orange enamel with areas of red dentin visible over dark gray root; well-presented leaning against a wooden dowel on a custom fossilized whale bone with coral. Found off the coast of North Carolina in October 2024.

4 1/16 x 3 1/8 in.

Enamel losses to front and back, areas of chipping and cracking, lightly worn at tip; minor worn chips at root; excellent color, largely symmetrical form, and remarkable for retaining edge serrations.
