Mid 18th century-early 19th century, round plates each stamped by the maker alongside later notes to the verso, makers to include: Samuel Cocks of London with engraved phoenix armorial to the rim; Humphrey Evans of Exeter; Thomas Compton of London with period monogram to the rim; and a fourth with indiscernible worn marks. Together with an 18th-century inkstand, unmarked, fitted for five pens and central inkwell (3 1/2 x 4 3/4 in. diameter).
