Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Dutch, mid 18th century, the taller with tapered cup having all over engraved decoration commemorating a marriage and reading "Families Welzyn" and two armorial images, air trap baluster stem, conical foot; the second with (likely later) all over engraving with architectural detail and reading "Conde de Fernandia (Count of Fernandia), disc form stem, circular foot with underside engraved designs.

Taller 7.25 in.

The Estate of the late Dr. Larry Southworth, Fredericksburg, Virginia

Acquired Malcom Magruder Antiques, Millwood, Virginia

The smaller cup with likely later engraving for two reasons: 1st the first Count of Fernandina was appointed in 1816, 2nd the pontil is polished and engraved over which is not typical of the period.
