19th century, cotton and wool, with a central star-shaped plaid block surrounded by emanating rows and rows of pieced diamonds in assorted printed and plain colors to form a huge circle, the upper corners of quilt featuring smaller Star of Bethlehem motifs, all bordered with printed chintz, made without lower corners so as to drape on a bed, backed with off-white cotton, with cotton batting, hand quilted, wool binding to all edges.
