Second half of the 19th century; by an unknown artist, possibly a slave, from the coast of Georgia; carved, jointed, and painted wood; attired in its original clothing made of scraps from fine fabric comprised of silk and linen and silk pieces, hand and machine sewn, with jeweled buttons, not signed; presented with a copy of Wendy Lavitt's American Folk Art Dolls, in which it is featured.
