Being a contiguous series depicting the river flowing south, as follows: "From Fredericksburg to Moss Neck," "From Moss Neck to Port Royal," "From Near Port Royal to Saunders' Wharf." Detailed local maps such as these would become indispensable to the combatants on both sides during the Civil War.
