Attributed to Pottersville, Abram, and possibly Dave, circa 1830 as potters. An extreme ovoid form with stepped rim and grooved strap handles placed high on the shoulder, dark iron heavy alkaline glaze with lighter slip placed around the points of handle attachment, not signed but marked with an X and five punctates at the shoulder and a large Y just above the base.

Private Collection The "Y" mark has been found, by archeologists, on several fragments from the Pottersville site.
Hairline of 4 in. extends upwards from the base; areas of loss to the underside.
