Attributed to Massachusetts, late 18th century, chestnut and white pine secondary, dovetailed case, hinged lipped slant lid with bread board ends, loper supports, divided interior with eight small drawers and ten pigeon holes, four graduated lipped drawers in solid tiger maple, exposed dovetail horizontal drawer stiles, straight feet from the side panel with applied dovetailed bracket foot facing with spur.
41.5 x 43 x 20.75 in., case width 40.25 in.
From the Estate of the late Nancy Mann, Wilmington, North Carolina Lid is original but with cut and half inch full length repair at hinge area; top and writing surface with scratches and stains; later pulls (in original holes); some drawer runners and guides rebuilt; some lip repair; original feet, two spurs tipped, front left foot with shrinkage split.
