Jimmy Craig Womble is a painter of rural landscapes and coastal and marine scenes. He was born and raised in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, and graduated from the Design School at North Carolina State University. He says: "A favorite subject of mine over the past six years has been the rural landscape of eastern North Carolina. It's not so much the open fields and pastures that draw my attention, but the detritus of a decaying agricultural community. Old tobacco barns, abandoned farmhouses and broken down vehicles inspire me to paint."

The artist has recently added the coastal landscape to his repertoire, painting boatyards and docks up and down the Outer Banks of North Carolina, always searching for that unique subject to paint. Jimmy Craig Womble has exhibited in Mims Gallery at the Dunn Center, North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, and other juried shows. (Courtesy of Gallery C, Raleigh, North Carolina.)
