Qianlong period, circa 1746, porcelain hand painted with bright enamels to the interior of with a quarterly coat-of-arms surmounted by a coronet and winged horse's head crest, encircled by eight smaller coats-of-arms, the rim with gilt scroll and shell-borders.

Charger 12 5/8 in. diameter, Cup 1 1/2 in., Saucer 4 1/2 in. diameter

The arms are either those of Adriaan van Reverhorst (1720-51) of The Hague, who was a VOC merchant at Canton, or his brother Theodorus (1706-58), who was a member of the VOC Court of Justice in Batavia from 1735 to 52, and the arms of their eight great-grandparents.

Saucer with very small nick to rim; cup with hairline to rim.
