Private Collection, Chapel Hill, North Carolina

This is a facsimile of the sketchbook Picasso filled with annotations and figural drawings, many of Fernande Olivier, while staying in the village of Gósol in Catalonia during the summer of 1906. Art historians agree that this was an important transitional time in his career and that it had an enormous impact on his work as a result of being exposed to artistic influences outside of Paris.

Sketchbook with minor creasing and small tear to faux leather at fold, and a small tear to the interior; booklet wraps with faint discoloration and slight rubbing to corners, and interior with light creasing and tiny spot to title page leaf; slipcase with mild scuffing and grime, and minor dent to label. A very good plus example of this interesting publication.
