The Vintage Costume Jewelry Collection of Laurie Bogart, Pinehurst, North Carolina Coro and Trifari were contemporaries whose designs played off of and copied each other over the years. Both of these sets were designed in 1953 in honor of the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Coro's set was designed by their long time head designer Gene Verri, while the Trifali set was designed by their long time head designer and former craftsman for Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels, Alfred Philippe.
