Late 19th - early 20th century, naturalistic casting of a horse head with ring mount bit, mounted atop a substantial 5 1/2 in. diameter cylindrical post.

70 1/2 x 11 3/4 x 6 1/2 in.

Discovered by the consignor at their 1922 home in Charlottesville, Virginia, designed by noted architect, Eugene Bradbury.

Some rust spotting throughout and surface marks from outdoor exposure.
