Al Jackson was an African-American artist who studied art at the American Academy in Chicago, Illinois. He was employed as a commercial artist and later turned to still-life painting. Jackson won numerous awards for his realistic still-life paintings. He participated in the Annual Gold Coast Art Fairs as well as the 57th Street Art Fairs in Chicago.
