Circa 1780, relief carved crest rail with pagoda motif, carved and pierced back splat with central diamond, molded shoe, shaped arms with acanthus carved knuckles, curved arm supports, flush molded seat rail, slip seat, molded straight legs with inside chamfer, flush stretcher base.

37.25 x 24 x 22.25 in., arm height 26 in., seat height 16.5 in.

Overall good presentation with an attractive old mellow patina.

Right ear with crack at rear side; back of splat lower portion with old but later paint; right rear leg with chip and loss; arms reset at stile joint; at one point the chair had casters.
