Born and raised on the Navajo reservation in Arizona, Ray Tracey developed his interest in jewelry as a nine-year-old child when his mother enrolled him in summer school at the reservation school. His fascination with the silversmithing table in the arts and crafts room was his pathway to his future career in jewelry design.
