Circa 1900, kingwood and mixed wood veneers, oak and pine secondary, shaped top with black inset leather writing surface, vertically banded border with molded ormolu trim, the front edge with three conforming drawers, bold acanthus leaf ormolu mounts and case edge trim, sides and back finished all with leaf and vine inlaid panels, cabriole legs with ormolu feet.

Later leather top with some wear from use; top banded edges with some minor veneer buckling and finish inconsistency; light verdigris and mellow patina to ormolu mounts; drawer secondary reworked; scattered veneer patches especially at edges; rear left leg with veneer chip to interior edge; front right leg with crack and repair at upper stile area.
