The first, a Hopi pottery bowl, first half of 20th century, with stylized black serpentine decoration to the interior, not marked (1 3/4 x 5 1/2 in. dia.); the second, a blackware pottery bowl, mid-20th century, Santa Clara or San Ildefonso Pueblo, with geometric decoration to the shoulder, not signed (3 x 4 1/2 in.).

The Hopi bowl with surface scratches and abrasions; the blackware bowl with surface wear.
