Early 19th century, approximately one gallon size, ovoid form, attributed to Guilford County, unidentified potter.. Constructed of lead glazed earthenware with an applied arched handle which terminates in very unusual triple finger indents, the spout has a finely potted narrow shaped collar, and the decoration of manganese slip is in the form of a large frontal leaf and also encircles the handle terminals. A rare piece of early NC decorated earthenware,
