First published between 1829 and 1848, La Comédie Humaine (The Human Comedy) is Balzac's large series of connected novels and short stories about life in France in the first few decades following the rule of Napoleon I.

Occasional light wear and grime to bindings; spines browned; interiors with mild toning, mostly light scattered foxing, an occasional mark, folded corner, or other small sign of use, and typical binding stains on endpapers; a beautiful and very good or better set.
