First half of 20th century, oak with light and dark wood inlays, featuring an arched pediment, over a scrolled capital, over a panel and conforming apron, all with carved images and symbols of war as well as the engraved motto "Ready aye ready” that was used during the First World War by the the Royal Grenadiers of the Navy to express Canada's commitment to the war, not signed.
26 3/4 x 30 3/4 in.
Good estate condition, minor abrasions, and wood separations.
