Aimé Maeght's
Derriere le Miroir was published in Paris from 1946, just after WWII as artists returned to Europe, until 1982, just after the founder's death. There were 200 published issues featuring the work of artists who exhibited at Galerie Maeght. Issues included original lithographs, thereby providing more affordable access to works of art by well-known artists, most of them from France and Spain, such as Chagall, Calder, Miró, Braque, Rebeyrolle, Del Re, Riopelle, and Adami.
This group of
Derriere le Miroir issues was collected in Switzerland.
Foxing, concentrated on wraps, with generally light foxing to interiors, a few leaves with heavier spotting; most with light handling wear and wraps with occasional toning, scuffing, soiling, and chipped spine end; interiors with occasional offsetting, scuff, or mark; one issue with small stains and one 1-in. tear; overall good to very good with a couple close to near fine.
