After George Armstrong Custer's death at the Battle of the Little Bighorn, also famously known as Custer's Last Stand, his wife wrote three books praising her husband and hoping to stop criticism of him.
Boots and Saddles was the first of these books.
Boards with light scuffing and marks, extremities rubbed with some fraying at spine ends and bumped corners; slight separation from text block and minor corner stain; endpapers with foxing, residue, ownership signatures, and crayon marks; area of cracking at rear hinge and occasional gutter cracking; overall, a clean interior with light toning, rare spots of foxing and offsetting, and a few leaves with small stains and light residue; map and one leaf with a small corner tear; a good to very good copy.
