The Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors produced the .30 Caliber Model M1 Carbine during World War II, starting in 1941. Designed as a lightweight, semi-automatic rifle for military personnel, it became one of the most widely used firearms of the war. The M1 Carbine was favored for its portability, relatively low recoil, and effective range, making it ideal for support troops, paratroopers, and other non-frontline soldiers. Inland Manufacturing produced over 2 million units, and the M1 Carbine remained in use by the U.S. military for decades after the war, cementing its place as an iconic firearm in American military history.

Overall very good estate condition, bore is shiny with strong rifling. No magazine present.
