Ca. 1920s, France, silver-plated, each featuring a stylized toucan with glass eyes holding a sphere in its mouth and perched on a geometric black marble base; both signed "Franjou" in cast on the tail.
Each 5 1/4 in. tall.
From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. Franjou is considered a pseudonym for the artist Hippolyte Moreau (France, 1832-1926).
Occasional light scratch; one with a chip to the eye, and one with light residue and a small blemish on the head; bases with light scratches, several small chips, and lacking original felt bottoms; overall good estate condition.
