Willie Nelson was born and raised in Stacy, North Carolina. He was one of five children of Elijah and Eliza Ann Nelson. Willie's mother, Eliza Ann Fulcher was the sister of Mitchell Fulcher. Willie received his head patterns from neighbor Eldon Willis. He mainly hunted along the Stacy shoreline but also hunted the marshes across the sound.
