Two Sunderland Pink Lustreware Pitchers

England, pink lustre and black transferware; the first, a slightly larger form, likely dating to 1829-1841, A Scott & Sons Southwick, with transferred flower decoration around the collar, a Sailor's Farewell (Sweet, oh Sweet...) on one side, A West View of the Cast Iron Bridge on the other, and printed mark for Scott & Son under the "Glide on my bark" verse transfer under the spout (7 3/4 in.); the second a footed form, 19th century, Scott's Southwick Pottery, with bands of lustre decoration at the collar, a Sailor's Farewell (Far from Home...) on one side, Crimea armorial on the other, and "Now weigh the anchor..." transfer under the spout (7 1/2 in.).

The larger form with some staining concentrated in the interior, expected glaze crazing, a few light scratches to the lustre on the body, rubbing to lustre at the rim, and numerous chips/small losses and several hairlines; the smaller form with glaze crazing as expected, rubbing to lustre at rim, small chips at rim and spout, and one small loss to the right of Sailor's Farewell.
