A skilled decoy carver from Stacy, North Carolina, a community often celebrated as the "decoy carving capital of Down East." This region has a long tradition of craftsmanship, where carvers, including Mason, created detailed wooden decoys both for personal use and for visiting hunters. This large curlew is made from balsa salvaged from life rafts during World War II.
