Austin, Texas-based painter Ken Fleisch was known for his realistic still lifes of pottery and Native American artifacts. He graduated from West Texas State University and joined the Air Force. While stationed in Europe he spent time exploring art museums and later studied art in Germany. Upon his return to Texas, Fleisch worked for an ad agency, and shortly after chose to pursue painting full-time.
