A Grand Japanese Porcelain Imari Charger

Meiji period (1868-1912), very large porcelain charger hand painted with fall themes such as quails amid autumn grasses and herons under the full autumn moon, geometric patterns and other auspicious symbols and motifs decorate the remainder of the dish, with a blue mark to center of underside.
