Antique Pair of Chinese Carved and Mother of Pearl Inlaid Side Chairs

Late 19th century, possibly rosewood, shaped and relief carved crest rail, pierced and carved back-splat with flowering branches with hidden fox head, urn and dragons, shaped panel seat, seat rail and cabriole legs with mother of pearl inlays, acanthus carved feet, shaped stretcher.

37.5 x 20 x 20 in., seat height 18 in.

Both seats with scratches and finish wear; one chair with shrinkage and loss to front edge of seat panel; the same chair with chip and repair to rear right foot; some minor inlay loss.
