Lot Details & Additional Photographs
Detroit, Michigan, circa 1910, carved and painted wood, glass eyes.

Longest length 12.5 in.

Purchased from Donald Joran on September 11, 1994.

Crafted between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These decoys feature hand-carved wooden bodies with realistic painted details and are distinguished by their glass eyes, which add a lifelike quality to the design. Although part of the factory's standard grade line, the inclusion of glass eyes elevates their aesthetic appeal compared to simpler painted-eye models.

Original paint, minimal neck filler still present on drake, age check on right side of drake, age check on left side of hen, a light coat of varnish on each..
