From the Collection of Duke Hospital, Sold to Benefit Duke Arts and Health James Hendricks was born in Arkansas in 1938. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas and his Master's degree in Fine Art from the University of Iowa. He taught fine art at Mount Holyoke College, the University of Iowa, and retired professor Emeritus at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst after teaching there from 1965 to 2004.
Hendricks exhibited in museums across the country including the Arkansas Arts Center and the Museum of Fine Art in Springfield, Massachusetts. Henricks' work can be found in museum, corporate and private collections across the country including the Smithsonian Institute, Washington, D.C.; the Arkansas Arts Center, Little Rock, Arkansas; the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and the Bank of America and Time Magazine, Inc. New York.
Good estate condition, minor edge scuffs.
