Willie Nash, a native of Asheville, North Carolina, earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from North Carolina Central University in Durham, North Carolina, before working as a professional illustrator for the United States Air Force. His paintings have been widely exhibited, and are featured in the Charles L. Blockson Afro-American Collection at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
